(a) The exemption provided by Section 4005.001 applies to the sale by the issuer itself or by a subsidiary of the issuer of any securities that would be exempt under Subchapter B if sold by a registered dealer.
(b) This section does not apply to securities that would be exempt under Section 4005.053.
