(a) The department shall develop and provide annual training for county employees on the submission of documents required before the department takes custody of a person being transferred from a county jail to the department, including documents required under Sections 8(a) and (c), Article 42.09, Code of Criminal Procedure.
(b) The training required under this section may be offered in person or online. Online training may be offered live or prerecorded.
