Tex. Gov't Code § 614.061

DEFINITION

In this subchapter, "peace officer" means a person who:

(1) is elected, appointed, or employed by a governmental entity; and

(2) is a peace officer under Article 2A.001, Code of Criminal Procedure, or other law.
