Tex. Health & Safety Code § 260A.013

BAD FAITH, MALICIOUS, OR RECKLESS REPORTING; CRIMINAL PENALTY

Added by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., 1st C.S., Ch. 7 (S.B. 7), Sec. 1.05(c), eff

(a) A person commits an offense if the person reports under this chapter in bad faith, maliciously, or recklessly.

(b) An offense under this section is a Class A misdemeanor.

(c) The criminal penalty provided by this section is in addition to any civil penalties for which the person may be liable.
