(a) Before entering into a contract or cooperative agreement under Section 361.402, the commission shall consult and work with the federal government in determining the response that will be necessary under the contract or cooperative agreement with regard to the particular disposal facility.
(b) The commission shall collect and shall file with the federal government any information required by the environmental response law and rules adopted under that law.
