APPLICABILITY OF SUBCHAPTER TO ENTITIES CONTRACTING WITH HEALTH MAINTENANCE ORGANIZATION

The act spans §§ 843.001 to 843.464 (146 sections).

This subchapter applies to a person, including a pharmacy benefit manager, with whom a health maintenance organization contracts to:
(1) process or pay claims;
(2) obtain the services of physicians and providers to provide health care services to enrollees; or
(3) issue verifications or preauthorizations.
