A policyholder is liable for the losses of a farm mutual insurance company only as provided by the company's constitution and bylaws, and only in proportion to the amount that the premium or assessment for the policyholder's policy bears to the total amount of premiums or assessments for all policies written by the company in the class to which the policyholder's policy belongs.
