ELECTION; COUNTY BUILDING AUTHORITY

Known as the County Building Authority Act

(a) After reviewing and considering the recommendations of the county building study committee, the commissioners court may call an election at which the qualified voters of the county are entitled to vote for or against the proposition: the construction, acquisition, improvement, equipping, and furnishing of a county building and the issuance of negotiable revenue bonds to provide funds for this purpose.

(b) If a majority of the qualified voters of the county vote for the proposition, a county building authority is created.
