DISTRICT AUTHORIZATION

Added by Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 1204, Sec. 1, eff

(a) A library district may be created and must be maintained, operated, and financed as provided by this chapter.

(b) A district created under this chapter is a governmental agency, body politic and corporate, and political subdivision of the state.
