COUNTIES AUTHORIZED TO CREATE DISTRICTS

Known as the County Development District Act

The act spans §§ 383.001 to 383.123 (53 sections).

Added by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 995, Sec. 5, eff

(a) The commissioners court of a county with a population of 400,000 or less, on petition of the owners of land in a proposed district, may commence the creation of a county development district.

(b) The creation of the district is subject to a confirmation election held as provided by this chapter.
