Tex. Nat. Res. Code § 134.017

PETITION FOR DESIGNATION

Known as the Texas Surface Coal Mining and Reclamation Act

The act spans §§ 134–134 (141 sections).

Added by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 76, Sec. 12.02(a), eff

(a) An affected person is entitled:

(1) before an application is filed under Section 134.052, to petition the commission to designate an area unsuitable for surface coal mining operations; or

(2) to petition the commission to terminate a designation.

(b) The petition shall contain:

(1) allegations of facts; and

(2) supporting evidence that would tend to establish the allegations.
