PERSONAL PROTECTION OFFICER TRAINING

Known as the Private Security Act

The act spans §§ 1702–1702 (150 sections).

(a) The commission shall establish a 15-hour course for a personal protection officer consisting of training in nonlethal self-defense or defense of a third person.

(b) The training required by this section:

(1) must be provided in-person; and

(2) is in addition to the basic training course for security officers.
