DISCIPLINARY POWERS OF COMMISSIONER RELATING TO STRUCTURAL PEST CONTROL

Known as the Texas Structural Pest Control Act

The act spans §§ 1951.001 to 1951.603 (79 sections).

(a) In this section, "parent company" means an individual or a partnership, corporation, or other business entity holding one or more structural pest control business licenses.

(b) On a determination that an applicant or structural pest control business license holder under a parent company has substantially failed to comply with the standards and rules established by the department under this chapter, after notice and a hearing, the commissioner may refuse to:

(1) examine the applicant;

(2) issue a license to the applicant; or

(3) issue a business license to the parent company.
