CIVIL PENALTY

Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff

(a) A person who violates this chapter or a rule adopted by the board under this chapter is liable to the state for a civil penalty of $1,000 for each day of violation.

(b) At the request of the board, the attorney general shall bring an action to recover a civil penalty authorized by this section.
