RACING WITHOUT LICENSE

Known as the Texas Racing Act

The act spans §§ 2021.001 to 2035.106 (279 sections).

Added by Acts 2017, 85th Leg., R.S., Ch. 963 (S.B. 1969), Sec. 1.01, eff

(a) A person commits an offense if the person:

(1) conducts a horse or greyhound race without a racetrack license; and

(2) knows or reasonably should know that another person is betting on the final or partial outcome of the race.

(b) An offense under this section is a felony of the third degree.
