RISK-BASED INSPECTIONS

Known as the Veterinary Licensing Act

(a) The board shall prioritize inspections relating to key risk factors identified by the board, including previous violations by the license holder or information concerning a veterinarian's use, handling, prescribing, dispensing, or delivery of controlled substances.

(b) The board may use alternative inspection methods, including videoconference or similar technology, instead of conducting an in-person inspection in circumstances the board considers appropriate.
