QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE

Added by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 112 (S.B. 1026), Sec. 1.01, eff

(a) To qualify for election to the board, a person must be:

(1) a resident of the district; and

(2) a qualified voter.

(b) In addition to the qualifications required by Subsection (a), a person who is elected from a commissioners precinct or who is appointed to fill a vacancy for a commissioners precinct must be a resident of that commissioners precinct.

(c) A person is not eligible to serve as a director if the person is:

(1) the district administrator;

(2) a district employee;

(3) a member of the hospital staff; or

(4) an employee of a member of the hospital staff.
