Tex. Spec. Dist. Local Laws Code § 1115.054

QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE

Added by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 112 (S.B. 1026), Sec. 1.01, eff

(a) A person may not be elected or appointed as a director unless the person is:

(1) a resident of the district; and

(2) a qualified voter.

(b) A person is not eligible for election as a director from a commissioners precinct unless the person is a resident of that precinct.

(c) A person is not eligible to serve as a director if the person is:

(1) the district administrator;

(2) the district attorney; or

(3) a district employee.
