(a) Before assuming the director's duties, each director shall execute a good and sufficient bond in the amount of $1,000, payable to the county judges of Harrison and Marion Counties, for the use and benefit of the district conditioned on the faithful performance of the director's duties.
(b) The district shall pay the cost of the bond.
