ENFORCEMENT OF RULES; PENALTY

Added by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 920 (H.B. 3166), Sec. 1.12, eff

(a) The authority by rule may prescribe reasonable penalties for the violation of an authority rule.

(b) A penalty may consist of:

(1) a fine not to exceed $200;

(2) confinement in jail for a term not to exceed 30 days; or

(3) both the fine and confinement.

(c) A penalty adopted under this section is in addition to any other penalty provided by Texas law.
