APPLICABILITY OF SUBCHAPTER
Known as the Texas Motor Vehicle Safety Responsibility Act
The act spans §§ 601.001 to 601.455 (104 sections).

This subchapter applies only to the owner or operator of a motor vehicle that:
(1) is not registered in this state; and
(2) is involved in a motor vehicle collision in this state that results in bodily injury, death, or damage to the property of one person to an apparent extent of at least $500.
