DISTRICTS

Known as the Telephone Cooperative Act

(a) The bylaws may provide for the territory served or to be served by a telephone cooperative to be divided into two or more districts for any purpose, including the nomination and election of directors and the election and functioning of district delegates.

(b) The bylaws must prescribe:

(1) the boundaries of each district or the manner of establishing a district's boundaries;

(2) the manner of changing a district's boundaries; and

(3) the manner in which each district functions.

(c) District delegates may nominate and elect directors. A district delegate must be a member.

(d) A member may not vote by proxy or by mail at a district meeting.

(e) A district delegate may not vote by proxy or by mail at any meeting.
