A telephone cooperative doing business in this state may require a person furnishing communication service to the public in this state to interconnect that person's lines, facilities, or systems with, or otherwise make available those lines, facilities, or systems to, the cooperative's communication lines, facilities, or systems to provide a continuous line of communication for the cooperative's subscribers.
