Tex. Util. Code § 54.005

NOTICE OF AND HEARING ON APPLICATION

Known as the Public Utility Regulatory Act

The act spans §§ 11–66 (1,170 sections).

(a) When an application for a certificate of convenience and necessity, a certificate of operating authority, or a service provider certificate of operating authority is filed, the commission shall:

(1) give notice of the application to interested parties; and

(2) if requested:

(A) set a time and place for a hearing; and

(B) give notice of the hearing.

(b) A person interested in the application may intervene at the hearing.
