TRANSFER OF CERTAIN CERTIFICATES

Known as the Public Utility Regulatory Act

(a) A telecommunications utility may sell, assign, or lease a certificate of convenience and necessity or a certificate of operating authority or a right obtained under such a certificate if the commission determines that the purchaser, assignee, or lessee can provide adequate service.

(b) The sale, assignment, or lease of a certificate or a right is subject to conditions the commission prescribes.
