MANDATORY SERVICE

Known as the Public Utility Regulatory Act

The act spans §§ 11–66 (1,170 sections).

The commission may order mandatory extended area service in a specified metropolitan area if:

(1) there is a sufficient community of interest in the area; and

(2) the company can reasonably provide the service.
