Utah Code § 11-46b-102

Actions allowed regarding livestock

Enacted by Chapter 91, 2025 General Session

(1) If an ordinance, resolution, or policy of a political subdivision permits a person to own livestock within the political subdivision's boundaries, the political subdivision shall, in accordance with this chapter, permit the person to trade, sell, or otherwise transfer the livestock up to the number of livestock the person is permitted to own by the political subdivision.

(2) A political subdivision may require a business license for a person described in Subsection (1) to trade, sell, or otherwise transfer livestock, except that the political subdivision may not deny the issuance of a business license based in whole or in part on the fact that the person owns livestock or is trading, selling, or otherwise transferring the livestock.
