Purposes of town fire companies; refusal to act

1997 a. 254.

The purposes and objects of a corporation organized under s. 213.05 shall be to aid and assist in the extinguishment of fires at or near the place of the corporation’s location. If the company refuses, when notified, to attend any fire within three-quarters of a mile from the location of the engine or truck house, the corporation shall forfeit $50.
