(1) Notwithstanding s. 33.01 (3), in this section, “district” does not include a restructured district. 633.24 PUBLIC INLAND WATERS (2) The county board of any county may establish districts within the county if the conditions stated in s. 33.26 are found to exist. Before a district that includes any portion of a city or village may be formed under authority of this section, the city council or village board must have previously approved the inclusion of its territory within the boundaries of a proposed district.
