In this subchapter:
(1) “Health care provider” means a health care provider, as defined in s. 146.81 (1)
(a) to (p), a person licensed or issued a 48440.9805 SAFETY AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES training permit as an emergency medical services practitioner under s. 256.15, or a person certified as an emergency medical responder under s. 256.15 (8) (a).
(2) “Licensed midwife” means a person who has been granted a license under this subchapter to engage in the practice of midwifery.
(3) “Practice of midwifery” means providing maternity care during the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods.
