Housing Cooperation Law

Florida · Housing Cooperation Law · §§ 422.001 to 422.08 · 9 sections

Overview

The Housing Cooperation Law authorizes public bodies to aid and cooperate with housing authorities in connection with housing projects, defining the terms used and setting out the powers a public body may exercise for that purpose. Those powers include conveying property, paying or incurring expenses related to a project, entering into payment contracts, and making loans to a housing authority, and the act provides that they may be exercised by resolution. It also restricts certain changes to housing projects and establishes a procedure by which notice of a proposed action can be met with a petition putting the question to an election.
