• 75 ILCS 40/0.01Short title
• 75 ILCS 40/1The board of trustees of any village shall have authority to establish and maintain a free, public library therein in any premises which may be available or which may be donated to such village for library purposes
• 75 ILCS 40/2The board of trustees shall appoint a library commission of not less than 3 or more than 7 members who shall hold office for terms of 3 years
• 75 ILCS 40/3Nothing herein contained shall be construed to confer on any village the authority to incur any indebtedness or to levy any additional taxes for the purpose of administering this Act
• 75 ILCS 40/4Purchases made pursuant to this Act shall be made in compliance with the "Local Government Prompt Payment Act", approved by the Eighty-fourth General Assembly
