CIA functions transferred to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence by IRTPA (2004).

Reorganized the U.S. military and intelligence establishment. Created the Department of Defense, the National Security Council, and the Central Intelligence Agency. Codified primarily at 50 U.S.C. ch. 44.
