Action in the district court for Beltrami county to recover §40,-000 for injuries received while in the employ of defendant as freight brakeman. Defendant’s demurrer to the complaint on the ground that the facts stated did not constitute a cause of action was overruled.

Action in forcible entry and unlawful detainer in the municipal court of Minneapolis. The case was tried before Baldwin, J., who made findings and ordered judgment in favor of plaintiffs. From the judgment entered pursuant to the order for judgment, defendant appealed.

<p>Action in the district court for Wright county to recover $5,040 for injuries received at a highway crossing. The case was tried before Giddings, J., who denied defendant’s motions for a directed verdict, and a jury which returned a verdict for $1,500. From an order denying its motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict or for a new trial, defendant appealed.</p>

Action in the district court for St. Louis county to* recover $8,100. The case was tried before Magney, J., who at the close of the evidence denied defendant’s motion to direct a verdict in favor of plaintiff for $117.42, and a jury which returned a verdict in favor of plaintiff for $4,000. From an order denying his motion to set aside the verdict and enter judgment in favor of plaintiff for $117.42, or for a new trial, defendant appealed.

A. B. Darelius petitioned the district court for Hennepin county that it ascertain the probable amount of indebtedness of respondent corporation and levy a ratable assessment upon each share of stock. The matter was heard by Dickinson, J., who ordered an assessment equal to the par value of each share of capital stock.

Action in the district court (for Ramsey county to recover $20,638.-84 upon an indemnity bond. The case was tried upon stipulated facts before Hanft, J., who made findings and ordered judgment for the amount demanded and interest. From the judgment entered pursuant to the order for judgment, defendant appealed.

Action in the district court for Hennepin county for an accounting and the cancelation of a mortgage and its foreclosure. The case was tried before Buffington, J., who made findings and as conclusions of law found that the foreclosure of the McCullough mortgage by advertisement and sale to defendant Hudson constituted a valid foreclosure sale and that defendant Hudson was entitled to $13,-636.28.

Tbe Board of Education of the city of Minneapolis petitioned the district court for Hennepin county for an order determining that the proposed taking of certain lands by the board was necessary and for the appointment of commissioners to appraise the value thereof.

Two actions in the municipal court of Brainerd to recover $127.50 on a promissory note. The cases were tried together before McClenahan, J., who granted plaintiff’s motion for a directed verdict for $284.95. From the judgment entered pursuant to the verdict, defendant appealed.

Action in the district court for Bamsey county to foreclose a warehouseman’s lien. The case was tried before Olin B. Lewis, J., who made findings and ordered judgment in favor of plaintiffs. From the judgment entered pursuant to the order for judgment, defendants appealed.

Action in the district court for St. Louis county to recover $30,000 for injuries received while in defendant’s employ. The case was tried upon stipulated facts before Cant, J., who made findings and 'ordered judgment in favor of defendant. From the judgment entered pursuant to the order for judgment, plaintiff appealed.

Action in tbe district court for McLeod county to recover $25,-000 for injuries received while in defendant’s employ. The case was tried before Tifft, J., who at the close of the evidence denied defendant’s motion for a directed verdict, and a jury- which returned a verdict for $9,833. Defendant’s motion for judgment notwithstauding the verdict was granted . From the judgment in favor of defendant for $310, plaintiff appealed.
