The meaning of the word purposely, as used in the statutory definition of murder, may be fully expressed in an indictment by the words " with intent," or by " feloniously."

As used in the statute defining murder of the second degree, " purposely " means intentionally and designedly. To constitute murder in the second degree, the intention, design, or purpose to perpetrate it must be formed before the act is committed.
