According to rule. And this may be in two senses: that of according to rule, in distinction from contrai-y to or regardless of rule, in which sense it is opposed to ii Tegular; and according to rule, in distinction from exceptional, or not subject to the general rule, in which sense it is opposed to special. A regular deposit is one in which the specific thing must be returned; a strict On the distinction between " regular " and " special," see Myers v. Rasback, 4 How. Pr. 83; People v. Wilson, 72 N. C. 155. When applied to elections, the terms " regular " and " general " have been used interchangeably and synonymously.
