The act of corrupt- ‘ing or debasing. The term is generally applied tothe act of mixing up with food or drink intended to be sold ether matters of an inferior quality, and usually of a more or less deleterious quality. It is not clear that the addition of a wholesoma article, a8 of pura water to milk, is adulterating.
