Lat A person related by blood; a person descended from the same common stock.
— Consanguineus frater. In civil and feudal law. A half-brother by the father's side, as distinguished from frater uterinus, a brother by the mother's side. Consanguineus est quasi eodem sanguine natns. Co. Litt 157. A person related by consanguinity is, as It were, sprung from the same blood.
