To live; to have Ilfe or animation; to be in present force, activity or effect at a given time; as in speaking of "existing" contracts, creditors, debts, laws, rights or liens.

A child conceived, but not born, is to be deemed an "existing person" so far as may be necessary for its interests in the event of its subsequent birth.
