To complete: to make; to perform; to do; to follow out The term is frequently used in law; as, to execute a deed, which means to make a deed, including especially signing, sealing, and delivery. To execute a contract is to perform the contract. To execute a use is to merge or unite the equit. ite of the cestui que use in the legal estate, under the statute of uses. To execute a writ is to do the act commanded in the writ. To execute a criminal is to put him to death according to law, in pursuance of his sentence.
