Execute

To complete; to make; to perform; to do; to follow out. The term is frequently used in law; as, to execute a deed, which means to make a deed, including, especially, signing, sealing, and delivery. To execute a contract is to perform the contract. To execute a use is to merge or unite the equitable estate of the cestui que use in the legal estate, under the statute of uses. To execute a writ is to do the act commanded in the writ. To execute a criminal -is to put him to death according to law, in pursuance of his sentence.
