A deed given to a trustee for the purpose of securing a numerous class of creditors, as the bondholders of a railroad corporation, with power to sell on default in payment of their bonds, notes, or other claims. It is used in some states instead of a bond and mortgage in ordinary loans to an individual or corporation. TRUST ESTATES AS BUSINESS COM-
