Lat. [from accedere, q. v.] An accessory, or accessary. Accessorius sequitur naturam sui principalis. An accessary follows the nature of his principal.

An accessary cannot be guilty of a higher crime than his principal.
Accessorium sequitur principale
An accessary follows, or depends upon the principal.
