[Lat. accrescere.] To grow to, to follow, to be added to; as a thing or right passes from one person to another. See Accrescere. To grow, arise, accumulate, or become due; as rent or interest. To arise, or begin to have a legal existence; as an action accrues when the plaintiff has a right to commence it.
