I In English law. A church; a place of religious worship; a parsonage, the living or beneflce. Ecclesia ecclesise decimas solvere non debet: the church ought not to pay tithes to the church. Ecclesia magis favendum est quam. persona: the church is more to be favored than the parson. Ecclesia non moritnr: the church does not die.
