/. A church; a parsonage. Ecclesia ecclesise decimas solvere non debet: the church ought not to pay tithes to the church. Ecclesia non moritur the church does not die. Ecclesiastical law: the law administered by the English ecclesiastical courts, now applying chiefly to church matters. It is derived largely from the canon and civil law.
