Monetary; pertaining to money. Pecuniary legacy: a legacy of a sum of money; a gift of a sum of money by will. In English ecclesiastical law. Pecuniary causes: causes arising from the withholding of ecclesiastical dues, or the doing or neglecting of some act relating to the church.
