I. Nature. Natura appetit perfectum; ita et lex: nature covets perfection; so does law also. Natura brevinm: the nature of writs; a collection of original writs with brief comments, called old Natura Brevium, to distinguish it from Fitzherbert's Natura Brevium. Natura non facit galtnm; ita nee lex: nature makes no leap [no sudden or irregular movement], so neither does law.

Nature. Occurs in some maxims. fect; and so does the law. The law seeks perfection. Natura non facit saltum; ita neo lex. Nature makes no leap; neither does the law. Proceedings at law should be in a natural and regular order, omitting no step. Applied particularly to the course of proceeding in the old English practice upon writs of entry.
