Bellport is a village in Suffolk County, New York, United States. The population was 2,363 at the 2000 census. The village is named after the Bell family, early settlers of the area. Long Intermediate School (Grades 4-5), Bellport Middle School (Grades 6-8) and Bellport High School. Bellport is in the town of Brookhaven and is on the South Shore of Long Island.
