Mooresville is a town in Iredell County, North Carolina, USA. The population was 18,823 at the 2000 census. It is located approximately 25 miles north of Charlotte. Mooresville is the home to the corporate headquarters of Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse, and is perhaps best known as the home of many NASCAR racing teams, which earned the city the nickname "Race City USA.
